Our Project

~Volunteering~
A great way to learn

The FundRise Project is a social enterprise – that means we engage in social projects that support our community. Our operations are not for profit.

We liaise with regional and local business for the purpose of building stronger communities.

How Do We Do That ?

We help build digital community noticeboards and hubs that feature community organisations supporting the wellbeing and opportunities for local residents.

We engage with business to use our regional and local commercial pages for advertising.

The best part – we get to invest that advertising money into the community as a sustainable fundraising support for our participating community organisations.

Our aim is to remind locals to acknowledge the contribution that local businesses can make to the community and to support their brands.

Think Local Business ~ Sustain Local Communites.

We can build sustainable communities with opportunities for everyone.

We offer volunteering opportunities within our Social Enterprise.  There are two main roles for volunteers.

Networking

One is to network with local businesses about our regional commerce pages, and to network with charitable organisations about our fundraising channel and our community digital Noticeboards.

Web Work

The second role is web-based and requires some level of computing and software skills such as MS Word  and MS Excel.

The platform we work on is based on a template and requires information and images to be added.

To keep track of data we use simple Spreadsheets that store business and community details.  These need to be verified and updated over the year. We also use imaging software like MS Paint or Canva.

Training Provided

Everyone has access to free training.  This is largely conducted on-line using a computer and a program like ‘ZOOM’ so our teams can learn and work together.

If you would like to learn skills while helping us to build and develop our Digital Community Hubs,  let us know.  Volunteering can be a good source of work experience and an a chance to learn first hand where opportunities for careers lie for you in your community.

Is There Paid Work ?

If you are interested in a career pathway in Community Marketing, we provide startup support and can connect you with our platform developers. This opportunity is open to self-employed people or people wanting to set up their own business in Community or Product Marketing.
