COMMUNITY NOTICE BOARDS
Our project has established more than 8800 Community Notice Boards across Australia that feature local community Businesses, NFP Services, Products, Events, Shops, News and Announcements. This is a joint project between NFP organisations such as Working Solutions Inc and platform developer ‘Find It Locally P/L’.
We have now achieved over 300 google linked pages that bring local and regional community resources to the fingertips of all Australians, on a platform that is designed to ensure very simple access without too many moving parts. Simple ? Yes ! We do not challenge the skills of our elders, our kids, or people with low tolerance for visual stimulation. We have a simple design that requires the user to just point and click.
- Each Community has a relevant local Notice Board.
- Each Notice Board will feature local businesses, community organisations and services that support the neighbourhood,
- Each Notice Board will also provide a clickable button to explore local events, online shopping, discount deals, and local news
- Each Notice Board links to wider Regional Pages to find more business, service, products, and interest groups
Notice Boards Working
For Your Community
There are over 8800 digital community noticeboards now active across Australia.
In each township, Notice Boards focus on building resilient communities that can support the long-term needs of its residents, the business community, and boost resources for local NFP services, including schools, emergency services, and clubs.
Notice Boards visually link you to your community’s businesses and services. They alert you to local news, announcements and events. They also display lots of search categories you can explore in your region to locate more products, more services or interest groups, that you know for sure are found right here in Australian.
The truly special part of the Notice Board, is that anyone who advertises on your community board or in your regional pages, will have their advertising dollar donated to your community.
Donations are managed through Find It Locally – the platform developer. Organisations like Working Solutions Inc develop Notice Boards as a way of offering work experience opportunities for people disadvantaged in the job market.
Every activity linked to a Notice Board will directly offer fundraising support to local community organisations that add value to to the livelihood and wellbeing of its local people.
